A Night in Fantasia [Aug 29th]
No scheduled concert for 2008 so far. And they may have dissolved the Sydney show for lack of financing and whathaveyou, even though you really can't see anything in Sydney town hall anyway.
But Nooo! I don't want to go all the way down to Melbourne to listen to awesomely nerdy symphony playing. Yay Eminence Orchestra.
And I never did get to go to a Final Fantasy plus Ghibli concert. OH that would have been brilliant. I went to the gaming one, which was cool, but I had no idea what was going on because I didn't know many of the games because they hadn't been released here yet.
Some Yoko Kanno compositions would also be fabulous but here's wishing too hard.

In other news. That I'm blogging here in... goodness knows however long is a pretty clear indication that I must must have a lot of work I'm meant to be doing.

I WANT TO GO TO A NIGHT IN FANTASIA AGAIN. *sulk*

I am no longer a we. [Apr 20th]
After a bit of talking there was a mutual decision to end our formally labelled relationship. The idea that something better is still out there, that we can't really know if 'this is really it' without giving other stuff a try, that we can't really appreciate each other... they're all factors.

So we're still best friends. The parents will still assume we're together I think... which is an awkward front. Telling family and friends... I'm not sure how that will happen - But for those who read this - HERE IT IS.

I was so sure about this, but now I feel all exposed and strange like you do when you go from wearing jeans and track pants all winter to wearing a mini skirt on a warm day in early spring.
I'm back in the game, but as yet have no one to play with so it's a bit like limbo or something. It'll take getting used to, or it may be short lived, we have yet to see.

While now there's endless possibilities and unabashed flirting to be had
But thinking about it, I haven't had a /real/ crush since... well since this Carrie Bradshaw's mister 'Big' still evokes 'what if's in my mind.. I'm such a little school girl just up for flirting...

My bathroom... my poor poor bathroom... [Apr 2nd]
[ mood | aggravated ]

Relatives here from Vietnam.

Please to be noting that my bathroom is - or was - my OWN private bathroom that no one else used...
But not so anymore. It has been decimated.
There are toilet aiming issues - the bathroom mat/floor is not safe. The toilet seat cannot be sat upon without hospital grade disinfectant and NOW, NOW to top it all off, someone has BROKEN MY TOILET. That is to say the flush buttons. Now admittedly I had broken the full flush in the past, but hey, doesn't matter, my number 2s weren't about to clog any pipes... BUT NOW WE HAVE NO FLUSH and WEE ON BASICALLY EVERYTHING.
BAH.
Not to mention the total invasion of personal space, and the shitty food I have to put up with because it's what they're used to???
BAH. It's called assimilation, people!

And AND, I kept it immaculately clean - albeit cluttered at times. But you really can't even see through the haze of toothpaste splatterings on the mirror and you don't want to go putting your toothbrush down when there is SNOT on the bench.

Someone shoot me. Or better still...

Who's up for mass 'can't-aim-at-the-toilet=ocide'

ARGH.

Dog collar no1 [Mar 9th]
HUZZAH. With little materials and tools, I improvised and made an Alvin-sized collar (well it fits on me with a bit to spare which means it should fit bunny-man, right Trina?)
It was the first time I used my new sewing machine - first time I've used a sewing machine - ever. I broke 2 or was it 3 needles? And no one ever told me sewing in a straight line was so difficult.
The white thread I used was sort of grey, but I FINISHED A COLLAR damn it.
The question now is am I happy with it or shall I take it apart, reuse the hardware and make a new one... questions...

Oh and Trina, my phone is busted, can I grab the pink nokia. I'll trade you the collar, yo.

[Feb 16th]
Big edit!!
So it turns out that it wasn't Cooper that adorable puppy that was for resale but his much older brother Kuma (translates into large black bear apparently) who is 8 months old. He's looking for a steady home and the breeder is still assessing homes for him so we (breeder and I) decided he wasn't for me, especially since I want a puppy so I don't /notice/ how big he is because the growing will happen steadily.
So. At the moment they have black Sables available which are sired by Cougar:

Apparently there is a high demand for Cougar pups and we decided that I still wanted a solid black.
Gypsy:

will be bred in June or so, but who the sire will be we don't know. I pushed for Mojo:

Apparently, while there usually is a high demand for solid blacks, when people see Cougar, they want black sables like him. She said I'd most probably be getting a puppy from Gypsy's litter. YAY. (looking more and more at Cougar, he is beautiful...)

[info]paradox____, I have so much more to tell you! Should I start buying the lead, collar and bed now? My green theme is so flawless!

PUPPEZ! [Feb 16th]
EEEEEEEE! My Breeder's last litter only had 1 long coat solid black GSD and he was sold fairly quickly. He's been named Cooper but his new owner found out she was pregnant just a few days ago and Cooper's coming back. I spoke to the breeders husband while she was out so he said to call back so I may be getting my puppy after all. With Grandma's funding at this point though beause I just spent the puppy cost on my CAR! ARGH. And we're really just scraping through at the moment having just returned from overseas... but!

Photo of Cooper:

Is he not the cooooootest.

My hands smell like mould remover. I cleaned mum's bathroom today... It took 1 and a half hours. It was /grot/. I cleaned my bathroom today also. It took 20 minutes. I still have to do the kitchen. Estimating it to be 2 hours. But aside from putting away clothes, after the kitchen, I'll be done. DONE and ready for a spirit to inspect the home, like the home, and be the guardian of this home.
Bed sheets are changed, the floors are mopped and vacuumed, appliances are free of dust... for the most part, things are tidy...

Stolen Air Con [Jan 20th]
We are at the coast. The boat trip was an interesting one. We stole the front seats and everyone else was happy to sit whereever first come first serve, but then this fat whale of a European woman demanded her number4 seat. So we had to move to the back of the boat where we in turn shifted another family which shifted another family... All because the fat woman wanted a double seat to herself. Lonely for obvious reasons...

Went clubbing last night at the hotel MGM in the City. Dragged my cousin along. Drank Hennessy, yumyum and had waiters pour the drinks all night. There was this very very very yumyum half French half Viet guy (asian-wot?). Tried to pick me up with a very heavy and very smooth French accent, and I was very flattered. His group was going to another club that stayed open later called Lush. He was very hard to understand, but good looking. And good sounding. Bahaha.

I'm hoarding bottles of congac from my sister's wedding... YUMMO

Smog before Sunset. [Jan 14th]
My bed is a cesspool.
I implore you to imagine your feet after shopping barefoot at the mall on a rainy day. Now picture the soles of your feet, and multiply the soot you see by about 1000. Then transfer said soot to the feet of a sugar-high 9 year old who won't stop jumping on your bed. Hence cesspool.

We rode motor bikes through the town. They've enforced helmet law, but they're barely stack-hats. they're about as thin as a bucket, really. In anycase, the helmets only unnerved me more. Before they mentioned safety, I wasn't thinking about it. It's a bit like riding a rollercoster. But your safety isn't ensured. If you fall, you've got bareskin and aforementioned bucket to save you. Your life's in the hands of those riders about you.
I checked the speeds on the way home... the fastest we ever went was 50km/h.

The City Doesn't sleep.

I think I walked past a host club. Bemusing.

It seems odd to compare this society with that of home. It's no democracy, it's not as safe, isn't as clean. That said, somewhere there are car dealers, aristocrats, sluts and all other manners of social degeneration.
But I can't think of people as people. People who have crushes, or who study at university or lawyers or public servants, though I know it to be true. To an interloper like myself, they do seems a bit of a degenerate - developing really - society doing the trades their fathers did. Or are sort of temps.

All snails are the same. Molluscs. I should say molluscs. Shell fish taste like bivalves and bivalves taste like sea spirals and sea spirals taste like land snails except chewier.
What's a crab... phylum? I don't remember. Something about it's legs under the abdomen and the open coelom/circulatory system... I dunno. Remembered not even enough for the Biol1009 exam. Thank uni for scaling. We ate steak size oysters as well.

I got my diamond earrings last night. They're about 0.6 carots. Small, but so are my earlobes and so they do the stones some justice. Like small hands to a below-average sized apendage, gents. My fingers are chubby though, so /that/ stone in question needs to be larger... :P

Learnt yesterday that there's some lowlife who poisons pet dogs and because there's not proper way to dispose of dead pets, they get tossed out in the trash. Right after, the antagonist collects the dead thing and sells it to a butcher. It's really sad.

Peticure. My toes look like red-faced gumbi legs. If that makes sense.

I've finished 1.5 novels so far. Haven't had much chance to read though.

There are hoons here just like at home. I'd like to coathanger one of them... /mean.

Soft Serve? [Jan 14th]
It was pretty - uglily, rather - hot today. Not so in the past few days because I've been inside, but the weather has been horrid enough to melt my stool. The soft-serve dispencer which is my arse = not happy after a bout of supposed food poisoning which lasted a week. There was vomit, the runs, stomach cramps, back pain and a battilion of ants that wanted to take over my bed.
Still suspect geckos are pissing on my bed... Anyway, after 3 days of ineffective immodium (makes you constipated) and a -FAILED- visit to the Franco-Viet hospital to find a doctor who had studied in a Western country, I got better - or so I presume and hope - within the 2 days following.

We went eating today. Phuong lost her Sunnies. Her expesive prescription gucci sunnies. Oh.... Snap.

We went to a beaut coast resort which was called Pandanus. Pan-dan-us or Pand-anus? Who knows. But it was nice. And I indulged in a 20 minute shower (no shower at home) before the hot water ran out. We went swimming at the beach and the pool. And ate heaps. Powdered milk = BAD.

I ran out of phone credit after the first 11 days. All $30 so I set up credit card recharge and bought $50 worth more. 75c txts man.

I still need to find my Lion-Dancing head. Not a cowboy hat, a dragon head... that blinks. So I can jump around and molest people on Lunar (Chinese) New Year. Bahaha.

Corrupt coppers here have a quota of dirty money that have to make each month. How dodge! Like, they pull people over for no "and the brains left for no raisin" and expect bribes. If you don't pay, you go to jail. Nutters!

I miss everyone. Especially... Subway, and Hogsbreath, and Wagamama... and Woolies and Coles and plumbing and Sorbent toiletpaper...

Backward Driving [Jan 4th]
Oh man. Internet so slow.
Driving backward and not looking where I'm going whilst crossing busy street.
Glad to know that navigating busy market places is easy, and very satisfying after a year or two of bar-room-pushing-to-the-front-of-the-bar training. So goot.

Watched 2 movies on the plane. Had my hair washed and nails done today. Cut next term. Considering a curly perm. Cataldos think's not and advises against. Am tempted though.

Am abstaining from eating all pork, and poutry. And prawns which still have pooey colons. Ewness. So not eating much esp seeing as mother has decided the veges aren't too safe to eat for want of washing.

The Bratz movie is better than High School Musical. Which means I have to admit that I have watched movie in question.

My phone still works if you want to text me. Please don't call me because we both get charged the roaming rates. Don't call me and I won't call you. :P

Annoying family relative. Cuz, you know. Hanging over shoulder. Needing to pee... Grateful for lack of people who would peer over my shoulder and understand the statements here.

Nothing much has happened. One of the Cuzs has been sent to boarding school. Buwahaha. But we still need to lock up the valubles because the little girl like to try on our clothes and play with the parfum.

Facebook/email/sms me if you feel the need to.
If I haven't succumbed to Bird Flu or Small Pox... I'll get back to you.

Party down the house! [Dec 31st]
Well, I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say on the subject, but I suppose a few people /already/ know. It's the press I'm supposed to feign ignorance for...
Angelina Joile has adopted me!
The water main burst at the centre and heaps of stores were closed last night. Then at the end of the day today, part the roof fell in. Not sure why. 3 APMs were down and I was the only one in the office. It was heaps of fun. Not. Not when there are so many really stupid shoppers buying alcohol for tonight's festivities to kill more brain cells and thus make themselves... stupider.
... No you're stupider. More stupid. And who don't know how to pay for their parking. In anycase, I let everyone out for free.

Ribena makes me happy.

The path of least roundabouts. [Dec 18th]
I had a weekend. Which is sort of a bizarre but welcomed change. I spent it buying Christmas Presents, veging out and poking at my eyeballs.

Saturday was a very hot and hectic day at work, and I was only there for half the day... each one of us was either over or under and we were out of balloons.
Then that night was Justine's farewell party, which was so fun and cute. I wish I hadn't have had to leave early...

Sunday... shopping. And gift wrapping.
Today there were more presents under the tree... Mustn't peak...

Today I got my trial set of contact lenses. Overcoming the blinking reflex is really difficult. Getting them out is easier.

I still have so many presents I want to buy! But when and where I'll find the time, I have no idea.
And I have no stockings!?

I'm working the 6pm-midnight on Thursday night in my PJs if anyone wants to come along and visit... Then I have work 9am-10pm the next day. I'm not allowed to sleep in the office *sulk*

I ride around on one of these at work :D

So damn unco. It's like... skateboaring sideways, except your weight distribution to steer and propel the thing. It's easier with heels on. I think. Fun though. I think I've replaced the rubiks cube addiction XD

Bloody "The Mint" [Dec 6th]
I believe... you don't need pants, I can sleep in a faded band Tshirt, knee high footy socks and butterfly undies... seriously.

Anyway, I'm vexed about spending $55 on petrol today to fill my 35L petrol tank... $40 yes, $45 maybe, but $55! That has so got to last me until New Years... Hahaha...

Movie at Wiggins'. Followed by 3 hours of sitting on the couch watching The Mint. Ok... ok... NO. I passed out at some point from boredom...

I'm getting over time on Monday because I've worked too many consecutive shifts. $32.8 an hour... *salivates*
Mmm... those Christian Louboutin Shoes I've been watching. Ow, I think my credit card just kicked me in the gut.

113 Friends. 113 Wall post. [Dec 2nd]
What's the point in joining a huge multi-billion strong online global network when you're not going to utilize it. So, I'm spammanating stalkfacebook. I'm gonna post a whatgigot on everyone's wall. It'll be painful, in some cases awkward, and I expect I'll be ignored by the odd few and suffer severe bouts of low self-esteem, and my pink plush toys forbid, turn emo as a result. At least I'm a Facebook "N00b" and won't die of finger cramps.

But in the meantime, why is watching realistic Timons minus Pumbas so damn amusing.

Naargh..
I have work in an hour and I'm still wearing what I was wearing yesterday. Ew much?
Completely overblew the budget in sydney, but scored many plush toys and 2 pairs of shoes. And a new bag. And no clothes.
We took advantage of the hotel pool, spa and sauna and played cards until 2am with vodka. Mmm, vodka. And found uber cheap all day parking. Only $12, though I think that rate was for UTS students, ANU students pwn.
Who posted boobs on my LJ flist? Never mind, it's Rick-Lee.
I'm procrastinating muchly. Do. not. want. to. work.

Just got back from the coast!
There was swimming and making castles and veging out on the couch watching scrubs and summer heights high.
There was vodka and drinking games and singstar. There was a lot of rubics cubing.
Vicky wants a rubics cube! I want a non conventional one though, like one with pastels or something... But addicted!
Tommy and Nadia were fools and went swimming today when it was only 16 degrees... Fools!
It rained the entire trip home. We drove past a car accident when someone flew off the exit bridge.. I hope they're alright..

HA. Just bought a rubiks cube off ebay.
